Recyclables in your Garbage?
It's not just garbage anymore!
A City of Seattle ordinance requires all apartment and condos to recycle paper, cardboard, cans, bottles, and yard waste.
Starting January 1, 2006, apartment and condo buildings whose garbage contains more than 10% recyclables may be fined.
More information on the City's recycling requirements
Any residence that generates enough recyclables to warrant a dumpster or several carts qualifies for free on-site apartment and condominium recycling service. Curbside recycling collection can also be provided for any size residence.

Recycling can reduce garbage costs
Recycling can save money by reducing garbage overflow and, in many cases, reducing garbage volume enough to allow you to request a smaller garbage container or less frequent collection.
You can get $100 off your building's garbage bill by identifying a manager or resident to be a Friend of Recycling who will monitor recycling in your building. Please call 206 684-8717 or Click Here for more information.
Apartment/condo recycling is tailored to fit each building
A recycling specialist will visit your building to design a collection system suited to your needs. We propose container size, location and service schedule for your confirmation.
Free Recycling Information for residents
If your volume changes, you may adjust your recycling or garbage container size or service frequency at no charge.
Recycling Bags
To encourage recycling, a reusable blue recycling bag has been mailed to each unit in buildings that recycle. Encourage residents to use them.
If your residents have not received the bags, click here or call 206 684-7665. While they last, bags will be provided to additional buildings that sign up for recycling. More
