SPOKANE /NORTHERN IDAHO - December 21, 2010 - Area non-profit organizations are already celebrating the season of giving, thanks to donations from Waste Management.

The Inland Northwest Blood Center in Spokane, the Children's Village Foundation in Coeur d'Alene, the Bonner County Food Bank, and Kinderhaven in Sandpoint are all receiving donations from $500 to $1,000. The early holiday gifts are part of a broader Waste Management initiative to help families in need. Across the Pacific Northwest, the company is now delivering $35,000 in donations for non-profit organizations.

The Inland Northwest Blood Center provides blood and services to help save lives in the Inland Northwest. The Children's Village Foundation offers care for abused and disadvantaged children through education and housing. The Bonner County Food Bank provides food for low-income families, disabled individuals, children, seniors and others in times of emergency. Kinderhaven is a group foster home and emergency shelter for children who have been removed from their homes for their protection.
