Residential / Curbside Services

Waste Management provides professional, efficient and courteous curbside garbage, and recycling collection in your area.

Starting Service:

To start service with us, please call our office 503-538-1388.

We offer recycling in 65-gallon roll carts and three cart options for garbage collection.

  • A 35 gallon cart, recommended for small households and avid recyclers

  • A 65-gallon cart, our most popular size, recommended for a family of two or more.

  • A 95-gallon cart, recommended for larger households.
The monthly fee for garbage service depends on the size of garbage cart you choose. Every other week recycling collection in included with your garbage service.

Container Placement at Street

Place trash and recycling carts:

Roll carts must be set out the night prior to your service day.

Carts must be within 3 feet of the curb or roadside, in open view.

Each cart needs to be 4 feet from other carts, mailboxes, cars and other obstructions so our trucks can safely reach them.

Carts must be removed from the curb after they are emptied.

Collection Info:

Garbage is serviced weekly. Recycling is serviced every other week.

Roll carts must be set out by 5:00 am on your service day. Carts must be within 3 feet of the curb or roadside, in open view. Each cart needs to be 4 feet from other carts, mailboxes, cars and other obstructions so our trucks can safely reach them. Carts must be removed from the curb after they are emptied.

All items must fit in your cart for collection. Call the office to pre-arrange pick-up of large or bulky items. A fee may apply.

Please note that household hazardous waste and biohazardous waste cannot be disposed of in your carts. Fireplace and woodstove ashes must be at least 3 days old before being discarded. Customers are liable for damages resulting from improper disposal of these items.

Please keep track of your cart number and keep your cart in your possession.

Missed Collection

If your container(s) were at the curb the night prior to collection and were not emptied - contact Waste Management at (503) 538-1388.

Holidays

Garbage, recycling and yard debris are collected on all holidays except Christmas and New Year's Day. If your collection day falls on or after Christmas or New Year's Day, collection will be one day later that week with Friday customers being serviced on Saturday.
