Managers or employees of Auburn businesses who complete this pledge form and maintain clean recycling will be entered to win a pizza party celebration by WM that includes games and prizes for staff. Winners will be notified via phone or email.

I pledge to make recycling easy and convenient at my workplace by:

Ideas -

• Ensuring garbage and recycling containers are co-located and color coded
• Placing recycle containers next to printers and in break rooms
• Right-sizing service levels so containers are not overflowing
• Posting clear signage above recycling and garbage containers. Signs can be downloaded here.

I pledge to educate my team on recycling right by:

Ideas -

• Sending e-blasts with Auburn's recycling guidelines and recycling 101 video
• Informing the janitorial team and employees that recyclables must be empty, clean, and loose (not in plastic bags). More resources about going bagless can be found here
• Scheduling a virtual recycling 101 employee training by contacting WM's outreach team

I pledge to maintain ongoing success of the recycling program by:

Ideas -

• Including a recycling guideline overview as part of onboarding new employees
• Showing visitors recycling container locations and explaining accepted materials
• Monitoring the contents of recycling containers and providing timely feedback to employees
