Managers or employees of Auburn businesses who complete this pledge form and maintain clean recycling will be entered to win a pizza party celebration by WM that includes games and prizes for staff. Winners will be notified via phone or email.

Ideas -

Ensuring garbage and recycling containers are co-located and color coded
Placing recycle containers next to printers and in break rooms
Right-sizing service levels so containers are not overflowing
Posting clear signage above recycling and garbage containers. Signs can be downloaded here.

I pledge to educate my team on recycling right by:

Ideas -

Sending e-blasts with Auburn's recycling guidelines and recycling 101 video
Informing the janitorial team and employees that recyclables must be empty, clean, and loose (not in plastic bags). More resources about going bagless can be found here
Scheduling a virtual recycling 101 employee training by contacting WM's outreach team

I pledge to maintain ongoing success of the recycling program by:

Ideas -

Including a recycling guideline overview as part of onboarding new employees
Showing visitors recycling container locations and explaining accepted materials
Monitoring the contents of recycling containers and providing timely feedback to employees
