Recycle Right Pledge

Owners or staff of Auburn multifamily properties who complete this pledge form and maintain clean recycling will be entered to win a pizza party celebration by WM that includes games and prizes for residents. Winners will be notified via phone or email.

For the sustainability of my community,
I pledge to recycle right by following these important rules:

Recycle Right Pledge

I pledge to make recycling easy and convenient at my community by:

Ideas -

Ensuring garbage and recycling containers are co-located and color coded
Right-sizing service levels so containers are not overflowing
Placing recycle bins in mail areas and community rooms
Posting clear signage above recycling and garbage bins. Signs can be downloaded here

I pledge to educate residents and staff on recycling right by:

Ideas -

Sending e-blasts with Auburn's recycling guidelines and recycling 101 video
Scheduling a virtual recycling 101 resident training by contacting WM's outreach team
Informing residents and maintenance and/or valet staff that recyclables must be empty, clean, and loose (not in plastic bags)

I pledge to maintain ongoing success of the recycling program by:

Ideas -

Showing new residents location of garbage and recycle containers as part of move-in orientation
Monitoring the contents of recycling containers and providing timely feedback to residents
Distributing recycling guides and recycling tote bags to residents at move-in. Contact WM to request these materials
