Recycling Issues
When we serviced your home, we found non-recyclable material in your recycling cart.
When incorrect items are placed in your recycling cart, it causes contamination and can cause recyclable materials to be removed as trash.
If three consecutive contamination events happen in a six-month period, you may have your recycling services suspended and/or receive a contamination fee in accordance with Oregon’s DEQ Recycling Contamination Reduction Program. If you think you received this notice in error, please call us at 1-800-808-5901.
You can avoid service interruptions by keeping non-recyclable items out of your recycling cart. To see what is recyclable in your cart, go to wmnorthwest.com. These three rules can also help make recycling simple:
1. Recycle empty plastic bottles, tin and aluminum cans, paper and cardboard.
2. Keep food and liquids out of the recycling cart.
3. Keep plastic bags out of the recycling cart. No bagged recyclables.
Green Tip! Now is a great time to update your WM account at wm.com/mypreferences with your e-mail address and/or mobile phone number to receive texts. This will allow you to receive service alerts and future notices electronically.
Thank you for keeping our community clean and green.
