Rates are changing in 2026
Effective January 1, 2026, customers in Snohomish County will see rates increase on their WM bills beyond what is on a usual bill.
Snohomish County has increased disposal fees at all facilities for the first time in 10+ years where WM disposes of garbage. We are required by the county to utilize their facilities for garbage disposal. This means costs for WM customers will also increase.
For information about Snohomish County services, visit the Snohomish County website at snohomishcountywa.gov/6739/Fee-Changes-2026.

Flood Recovery
WM is supporting Snohomish County in flood recovery efforts.
The Snohomish County Solid Waste Voucher Program will allow households in unincorporated areas and municipalities within Snohomish County impacted by December flooding to use a voucher to dispose of flood-damaged household items at no charge at county solid waste facilities. For more information, click here to visit the Snohomish County website.
Customers in need of steel containers to dispose of flood-damaged material may contract with WM if WM is their regular service provider. Note, vouchers will cover only the cost of disposal (customers will pay WM for collection). For more information, contact pbuilder@wm.com or call 800-963-4050.
Disposal vouchers are only for items specified by Snohomish County from December floods. See the list here: snohomishcountywa.gov/207/Solid-Waste
